His love is not with a particular person. It is with his Project, a historical picture, depicting India’s first War Of Independence, the uprising of Great Maratha ‘Tatya Tope’. The love for this motion picture has reached to such an extent that it has
become his passion, ambition and The Mission. The film which is titled ‘1857 Tatya Tope’. is being written, directed and produced by him under his own banner of Cinevision Arts. In other love affairs, Kambakhat Ishq makes the lover crazy and lazy. But in the case of S.K. Sha Latta it has made him crazy and most busy. He has spent almost 15 years, to finalise this subject and remained busy in the research work. He has visited many libraries, met many historians, consulted several scholars and practically left no stone unturned to make this subject authentic and historically true and based on facts.
Born on 10th Dec. 1955 at Pushpa Park, Mumbai, in the house of top most Cinewriter late Hakeem Latta (H.S.Latta), Saif Khalid Sha Latta, was brought up and educated in Mumbai, where he did his B.Sc from Mumbai University. Immediately after completing his education, he joined the Film Industry, as an Assistant Director. He is proud of working with movie makers like Ramanbhai Desai, Aspi Irani, Shyam Kashav, and Pawan Kumar. Then he became Chief Assistant to late Actor, producer director Mehmood.
After gaining experience and enthusiasm, S.K. Sha Latta, made his debut as an independent director in the Hollywood film ‘Whom The God Wishes To Destroy’. Then he was assigned to direct a Telefilm ‘The Snow’. Then he spent 2 years in Oman, from 1982-to 1984. Here he started his own picture Sajani, which was scripted by his father and was produced and directed by himself. It had Bharat Bhushan, Aruna Irani, Satyen Kapoo and Shobha Shrivastav in the cast. He had also been associate Chetan Anand, while he was making Salim Anarkali. At present he is making A Modern Film Studio in Khapoli. At the same time he is the writer and director of Savitribai Phule (English & Marathi) and Yeh Tera Karam Hai, based on Khawaja Garib Nawaz and he is also directing Rising Star Films ‘U Feel My Love’.
